On balance Zaka ought to have given a more specific and detailed description of his learning style and strengths and weaknesses. He required some prompting to explain how using learning styles awareness helps by being able to address weaknesses as well as capitalise on strengths. Zaka ought to have been more specific in identifying ways he could make his learning more effective.

- Give fuller descriptions and explanations (rule of three)
- Rehearse beforehand (make notes)
- Use the VARK helpsheets to identify activities to make learning more effective.
