Twitter Unblocked

From today Twitter is now available on college networks

It can be a useful learning tool for:

  • Asking experts - send an @ tweet or DM to an expert to ask a specific question.
  • Crowdsourcing -  gauge opinion on a topic by tweeting about it and inviting responses.
  • Sharing knowledge on a topic - tweet using a hashtag, see #cesitprestips or #cesitgoals, for example.
  • Building your personal learning network (PLN) - follow people who work or study in the employment or study areas you're interested in.
Remember that tweets are in the public domain, everyone can see them, and that tweeting offensive or bullying material is not on.

There's more info here

and here.

You can use your use of Twitter as evidence for P5 - Use IT to aid communications
